The Maryland Wear and Carry Renewal Course consist of 8 hours of safe firearms training instructed by our Maryland Certified Firearm Instructors. This class is for those who already have their Maryland Wear and Carry and needs to renew.
What this Course Covers:
-Firearm Safety Rules
-Basic fundamentals of a Firearm
-Proper drawing from a Holster
-Sight Alignment/Sight Picture
-Live Fire Qualification
-Traning Requirements for Maryland Handgun Renewal Application
If you would like to use your own firearm, you must bring your own ammunition and holster. We highly reccomend this to be more efficient with your firearm as a permit holder. As a permit holder, please keep your firearm holstered and advise our instructor on arrival of class.
Students who complete this training will recieve their qualification sheet for renewal to renew their Maryland Wear and Carry. The Maryland State Police encourage to apply no less than 90 days before their handgun permit expires.
**If you submit your renewal last minute and your permit expires before your new card arrives in the mail, just know you CANNOT carry your firearm until your new card arrives in the mail from the Maryland State Police**
**IF YOU EXPIRE WITHOUT SUBMITTING YOUR RENEWAL, YOU WILL HAVE TO START ALL OVER**
